Effective November 2009
Most rooms are charged at a standard rate for the first two hours. Groups meeting weekly and paying in advance will receive a discount.
- Garden Room: two hours £36. Each additional hour or part of is £12.
- Library: two hours £33 Each additional hour or part of is £11.
- Long Room: two hours £33. Each additional hour or part of is £11.
- Short Room: two hours £20. Each additional hour or part of is £8.
- Meeting House: two hours £50. Each additional hour or part of is £20.
- Large kitchen: £7, whatever the period. It is hired with the Garden Room.
Availability: Evening bookings are possible from Tuesday to Sunday. Day bookings are possible Tuesday to Saturday (except for the Garden Room and kitchen at Wednesday lunchtime). None of the rooms is available on Sunday mornings or Mondays, and the building is closed during August.
Facilities: Arrangements for extra items must be made beforehand with the Warden. A data projector and screen is available for £30 per session; the following are also available, at no charge:
- A television
- Video, cassette and DVD recorders
- Flip-chart stands
- Extra tables
- Pianos (in the Long Room and the Meeting House)
- Small-scale photocopying
Bookings: Cheques should be made out to “Oxford Quaker Meeting”; cash payments will be acknowledged by a receipt. A cancellation charge of 20% is applicable two or fewer weeks prior to the booking. Bookings for Saturdays are necessarily provisional until 6 weeks in advance. Conditions of use are set out in the “Hire of Rooms” document.
